  2. Debi~ You are so patient & kind to write out the patterns for us. Thank you very much. The colors are beautiful on this. This is such a wonderful time to crochet, too! Grey, overcast days....leaves blowing around....sitting by the window, crocheting. I dream about this in the heat of July. It's finally here!

  10. I am having trouble with Rnd 7 - do we really skip the v stitch completely to work in the next shell stitch? it pulls awkwardly and I know am doing something wrong. Please help: Sl st into next dc, ch 3, shell in ch-2 space, dc in next dc, skip next 3 dc, shell in next shell, skip next 3 dc. *dc in next dc, shell in ch-2 space, dc in next dc, skip next 3 dc, shell in next shell, skip next 3 dc. Repeat from * around. Join as before.

    1. Hi Teresa. The 3 stitches that you will skip include the 2 stitches of the shell from the previous round and the 1st dc of the dc points. When you get to the other side of the dc points, you will skip the last dc and the 2 dc of the shell from the previous round. There are no v-sts on the 7th round. You will work a shell in the shell stitches and then in the ch-2 spaces of the dc points, you will work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc).

    1. Hi Jackie. I'm sorry, but I did not weigh the amount of yarn I used for this blanket. I have no idea why I didn't. Sorry.

  16. Hey debi! I'm having trouble on round 6 (sl St into next dc, sl St into ch 2 sp of shell, SHELL IN NEXT VST, etc...) Is the shell in next v St supposed to leave a big gap in the work. I feel like I might be doing something wrong. Tia

  17. I love your Rippling Shells blanket. Now I've made this several times and I adore the pattern, but I was wondering how or if it would work to turn this into a 12 pointed star?
It has me beat that I start with 12 dc's then 24 dc's etc (just like a regular 12 point star) but at the finish, I end up with a 9 pointed star and 9 little points in the valleys... Where did the rest of them go lol...? Your pic also shows it as a 9 point star.

I would love to know if this could be made as a full 12 pointed star if possible please. Your brain is much better than mine with the math!

Thank you so much in advance.

    1. Thank you. I'm not sure that it can be. I think that it would turn out with too many stitches and be really, really wavy. :)

  19. Hi Debi Y. I am having trouble with row 7. I have looked at the comment you had for someone else who had trouble with row 7 but I'm confused. Could you please type out row 7 from beginning to end. Thank you.
