Hello beautiful, if you have problems, go and solve it for you to be quiet, but went out for a short walk around there, maybe a little exercise you liking.anyway a big hug!
I know the feeling-sometimes it can be really tough to get motivated. I have times where I'll start a project and then find it really difficult to finish it, maybe I get frustrated because it isn't turning out the way I wanted it to or I've simply gotten tired! Maybe a little break from crochet would help (nothing major, just a day or two) or trying your hand at a different type of craft to help get your creative juices flowing again :-) Whatever is getting you down, I hope it goes soon xx
We're not that far from you in Central PA and the weather has been taking a toll on us. Combined with the post-holiday let down. . . yikes. What lifts your spirits? A fun movie, a trip to the library, a cup of tea with a friend. Put some music on that sets you in motion and enjoy it. My plan for the afternoon is my comfy chair, my hook (or needles) and a hockey game.
Oh I hate when that happens! It'll pass in a couple days. Maybe you just need a break! Can't wait to see what you create once this feeling passes.
This happens to me all the time. Don't feel bad. I take a break until I'm ready to go back to work. It could take days, weeks, or even months. When you do something for too long...your mind and soul will tell you to take a break. When your heart leads you back to it...then you will. Trust me. Unless it's a project that's due for someone else; let your heart lead you back to it. I find that when I come back...I bring with me a whole new light or inspiration or idea. Breaks are great!Good luck.
I had to smile at the title of your post. I also have two (or3) wips that I really want to, just well can't get on with them. I have gone multi-craft in the past weeks just to be doing something. I found one that you might like. google "window stars" they are made with tissue paper and are bright and lovely to look at in windows. Get a large multi color pack and go to town. I found you do not have to be perfect with measurements go for it.Children will get a kick out of these. Hang in there. Hope this helps :)
Then, just talk to us ;)
I think you should wait just a few days and do something totally different like reading a book. Maybe it helps. Groetjes, Monique
I understand you, I-ve got the same now :-)
Hi Debi, sending good crochet vibes your way. Your yarn basket is really neat and looks like it is a nice size to hold multi projects. Where did you pick it up (if you don't mind me asking)? Take care, Heather
Hi Heather. I got the basket at Michaels. My daughter had given me a gift card for my birthday either last year or the year before, so I decided to get the basket and replace the cheap plastic one I had. :)
Ugh, I hate that feeling. A change of scenery usually helps me, even if it's just a trip to the grocery store. I hope your winter blahs go away soon.Blessings,Kate
Hi Mrs Debi...I'm feeling the same....don't know what's going on....but I have looked around and every crochet book but don't feel interested in anything.....I may have to start finishing a Teddy bear to see if I can keep on crocheting....Have a wonderful Sunday ! ;)
I blame the weather...lol.... So crazy... freezing over your way and Hot here today 30 they say for our little island in the North..But I love the summer.. :)) Hope all goes well for you . hugs pat in tas:))
try a new craft or experiment with new stitches!!!!!xxxxxx Ale
Aw Debi, sorry to hear this. What about heading to the cinema? Or watching a film at home? x
Sure know how that feels. Right now I have a scarf that is finished except for weaving in the ends. Wouldn't take two minutes to do. Just can't make myself do it. And the afghan I'm working on -- I'm loving the pattern and colors but have no ambition to work on it. Well all go through a blah time. Not to worry -- your crochet mojo will come back.
Get some retail therapy or buy some more new yarn :)))
I can't believe you are bored with all that yarn down by your feet, Lol Have a better day,Barbaraone email@example.com
Just take a long bath with a good book and your favorite drink. Maybe that feeling will pass after the bath.Have a nice sunday.Lisa
I thought I was the only one! All that yarn and nothing that I really want to make! So depressing! Hope we get out of this funk soon!
You're not alone, Debi. I lost my crochet mojo a couple of weeks ago. I'm working on an afghan now and can only manage a row at the most before I lose interest. Let's hope both of our crochet mojos come back soon.
Well, I left a comment and not sure it made it. :( Anyways, welcome to the 'Lost Motivation' club. I wish I had a fix for that but as you can see I have it majorly. That's why you haven't seen any posts from me in a long time. I do check in occasionally through bloglovin. If you find the answer as to why mojo just up and leaves please let me know. :o) Happy New Year!!! xoxo
Sounds like you're in good company Debi. We've all been there at various times. It'll soon come back. PS Love the slippers xx
Thanks for taking the time to leave a message - it always puts a smile on my face. If you have a question - post it here and check back - I will always answer you. :)
